Meet the Founder
Elisabeth Farny
Innovation & Technical Communications Consultant
I help organizations translate complex technical, scientific, and operational information into clear strategies, structured documentation, and actionable solutions that support innovation, intellectual property protection, R&D funding, and technology commercialization.
With more than ten years of experience across U.S. and European environments, I bring a multidisciplinary background in technical communications, innovation support, and process transformation, serving organizations in defense, engineering, healthcare, technology and other regulated industries.
My work spans patent application drafting and IP documentation support, innovation and proposal strategy, and AI-enabled process transformation. I collaborate with patent attorneys, engineers, scientists, subject-matter experts, and operational teams to analyze complex technical information and develop documentation tailored to legal, technical, funding, and operational requirements.
Through Farny Communications, I provide flexible and confidential consulting support to startups, law firms, research organizations, and consulting partners, with a particular focus on bridging intellectual property documentation and R&D funding opportunities.
My academic background includes a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from the University of Vienna, Austria, and a master's degree in International Relations from the University of Leicester, England. Combined with my bilingual German–English capabilities and experience supporting government and defense-related projects, this foundation brings an interdisciplinary and international perspective to my work.
I am a member of the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) and hold the CF APMP and BW-M APMP certifications.
Outside of my professional work, I have a strong interest in ethnobotany and traditional plant knowledge. I founded Austrian Alps Apothecary, a project dedicated to documenting and preserving traditional Alpine herbal knowledge while reconnecting with my Austrian heritage through nature, culture, and plant traditions.
